ABOUT THE SERVICE

The dog groomer has arrived! It is now time to greet the dog and introduce themselves to you, the client. The groomer will let the dog sniff themselves, their clothes and the equipment bag, she will try to pet your dog to see where your dog’s boundaries are and what they are comfortable with. If the dog is shy, she will give it some time to acclimate and warm up to her.
Now that the greeting is done, the groomer will ask you to show around so that she will pick the most comfortable place to groom your pup. After both of you have decided on the best grooming space, she and you will discuss grooming options for your dog.
Now it’s time for the actual grooming!
First, the groomer will clean your dog’s ears. We choose to not pluck the ear hair unless requested based on the fact that it opens up the pores and becomes a breeding ground for bacteria thus leading to ear infection. Not to mention that it’s painful.
Now it’s time for a double bath with a shampoo appropriate for your dog. A conditioner will be used if needed.
The face will be shampooed with a fine blueberry facial that will leave a pleasant but faint berry smell. The eye boogers will be softened and removed. So will dingleberries.
Anal glands will be expressed upon request at no additional charge.
After thoroughly rinsing off the product, your dog will be wrapped in a so-called towel burrito to let it chill for a few minutes.
Then it’s time for fluff drying by hand. The coat will be completely dried, straightened, thoroughly brushed and combed out. Light matting will be removed.
Nails will be trimmed and filed at no additional charge.
We don’t use dog perfumes since a proper bath we perform and premium quality products used will already leave your dog smelling amazing.
And now it’s time to do a sanitary trim and perform a haircut that we agreed upon and discussed previously. The groomer will use clippers and scissors to achieve the desired look.
Voila! Your dog is now clean, pretty, smelling wonderful and, most importantly, calm and mellow because the whole process was done in the comfort of your own home.

Recommended maintenance schedule

We recommend having your dog professionally groomed every 3 to 8 weeks. The longer the coat you like to see on your dog, the more often it should get groomed to keep the hair manageable and tangle-free. On the other hand, if your dog’s coat is cut very short (shaved), you can get away without professional grooming for up to 8 weeks.
